An Easter On Mulberry Street, written and directed by Frank S. Petrilli, is a bittersweet comedy honoring the weight carried on the shoulders by the women of the Morello and Baccolini families of Mulberry Street at Eastertime in 1943 during World War II. The story centers around three daughters and their mothers, facing the realities of war on the home front, to keep the family structure whole and intact while their husbands/sons are in uniform fighting overseas. An Easter On Mulberry Street is part of the “Mulberry Street” series of Italian-American based comedies that have been so very popular in Southern Fairfield County theaters for over 80 years. At the end of the reading, there will be a talk back with the writer/director and cast.
