Cancelled: Birdwatching at Seaside Park with the CT Audubon Society

Please come with us on a birdwatching walk through Seaside Park. We will be joined by Stefan Martin of the Connecticut Audubon Society who will provide us with tips and information on the world of birdwatching!

This walk is a prelude to the Connecicut Audubon Society's Migration Magic event. Migration Magic is a month-long festival celebrating the wonder of bird migration in Connecticut, with activities for all ages and experience levels. It’s scheduled for May 1 through 31, 2025. It includes bird walks and programs led by experienced birders, and a Birdathon for people of all ages and all skill levels. More info here:

Directions for parking and meeting spot- After entering through the main entrance (Going through the giant arches) bear right onto Howe Dr. and the parking lot will be the first parking lot on the left. We will be meeting here. If you reach the split with the large statue, you have gone too far.

Seaside Park is one of Bridgeport’s wonderful birding gems. This coastal beach is a not only a favorite place for visitors but also a great spot for birds as well. With over 200 species of birds seen here, we are sure to find a nice assortment. Seaside Park offers 1 mile of unobstructed views of Long Island Sound making it a great spot for observing a wide variety of water birds such as ducks, gulls, terns and even a seal or two!
