The Old School Revue All Stars have been performing in the New York/CT area for 20 years playing "Absolutely none of Today's Favorite music." The Old School Revue All Stars celebrate the golden age of Soul Music… American Rhythm and Blues-- featuring spirited renditions of classic tunes from the heyday of R&B, Rock and Soul, Jazz and Swing.
They will perform an iconic selection of Classic Soul and R&B music by the great musicians from the recording studios of Muscle Shoals, Memphis, Miami, Macon, and Motown. Back stories, commentary and narration provided by Speaking of Music's Roger Kaufman.
Their bandmates performance/production or recording credits include The Blues Brothers, Steve Cropper, Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker, Alphonse Mouzon, Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, Robert Palmer and the Rolling Stones.
Roger Kaufman wears many hats. He’s a band leader and bass player for Old School Revue and produces his own musical events through his Old School Music Production company, including his “Speaking of Music” series, which teams a dynamic live music event with experts speaking to pivotal music history and influential performers.
