Orin Grossman

For his annual concert, pianist Orin Grossman is doing something completely different!

​

Orin will be joined onstage by the Bridgeport KEYS Jazz Ensemble, The Keynotes, in a concert of mostly American music including works by Duke Ellington and George Gershwin. The first half of the program includes Orin Grossman performing special piano versions of songs by Ellington and Gershwin. For the second half, Grossman will be joined by The Keynotes for additional songs by these acclaimed composers as well as works by other giants of jazz including Thelonious Monk and Billy Strayhorn.

Founded in 2004, KEYS is dedicated to providing free musical instruments, lessons, and performance opportunities to under-resourced students of Bridgeport. KEYS envisions a world where every child has access to the transformative experience of studying and playing music regardless of circumstances.
