The Best of FCCC at Carnegie Hall

In celebration of their 30th Anniversary, the FCCC will present their annual Spring Concert on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 7:00 PM at Carnegie Hall. Concert highlights will include Guest Artist Dr. Raymond Wise, a varied selection of great choral music, a strong group of FCCC alumni and nearly three-hundred of the most outstanding young singers in Connecticut.
Dr. Wise is an internationally prominent Gospel musician and composer who serves on Indiana University’s faculty in Bloomington, Indiana, as a Professor in the African American African Diaspora Studies department and affiliated faculty in the Jacobs School of Music. He has written a profound new composition to be premiered on the program, The Gift of Song. He will also conduct and accompany the choir on various pieces.
The exciting array of songs will include classical music by Franz Biebl, Benjamin Britten and Johannes Brahms, folk songs such as Kaval Sviri arranged by Petar Liondev, Gospel songs and Spirituals such as Total Praise, City Called Heaven and I’m Goin’ Up a Yonder, and popular selections such as Count on Me, When I Fall in Love, We Are the World and Bridge Over Troubled Water.
The Fairfield County Children’s Choir has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Tanglewood; in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Denver, Hawaii, Canada, England, Ireland, Austria and Czech Republic and has shared the stage with such artists as Renee Fleming, Charles Strouse, Stephen Schwartz and Christopher Plummer.
