Wild About Veggies intro on how to plan a veggie garden

At the heart of this workshop lies the art of planning a thriving vegetable garden. We will explore the intricate dance of plant companionship and seasonal rotations.
We will talk about the ideal place for a vegetable garden, the basics of preparing the soil, creating a planting plan, sowing seeds for continual harvests, companion planting, succession planting and transplanting seedlings.
By the end of the workshop you will be ready to sow the seeds of change and cultivate a greener and more abundant tomorrow.
Paula Koffsky and Orna Stern, both avid gardeners in their own right, decided that the time was right to share their wealth of knowledge by helping other fledgling gardeners build, plant and maintain personal kitchen gardens for residents of Fairfield County and beyond. Having both received their Master Gardener’s Certificate from UCONN, Paula and Orna started “Wild About Veggies LLC” and have achieved remarkable success in site planning, designing raised garden beds and teaching their clients about crop selection, seed starting and the ecological and environmental benefits of being your own vegetable gardener. They always welcome the opportunity to share their know-how and years of experience when the occasion arises.
