Zoom Artist Talk: Curious Clips and The Psychology of Collage

The Contemporary Art Modern Project is pleased to present a new Exclusive Online Exhibition and Artist Talk. In this live online event, New York collage artist Steven Rudin and CAMP Curator Maria Gabriela Di Giammarco will discuss inspiration, process, and the psychology of collage. Participants will view Rudin’s elaborate hand-cut collages up close and hear from the artist and curator directly. A brief Q&A after the talk will provide exciting opportunities to ask questions.

ABOUT OUR EXHIBITING ARTIST
STEVEN RUDIN (b. 1972, American)
Steven Rudin is a visual artist, teacher, and retired psychiatrist based in New York City. His elaborate collages highlight the dynamic architecture of memory. Building on his background in art, psychotherapy, and linguistics, Rudin’s creative practice explores collage as a window into the way we process our experiences in parts and layers. He holds degrees from Columbia University, Cornell University, and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. As a teaching artist and speaker, he has developed over 40 educational activities for both adults and children. His teaching engagements include the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia University, Hunter College, and the New York Film Academy.
